How YOU can help the Fathers Network

"You are incredibly important in helping us reach fathers and providing them with the kinds of support and resources that really make a difference in their lives. For thirteen years we have distributed newsletters, videos, monographs, and packets of information, most at no expense."

"I am the father of a 3 1/2 year old autistic boy.... I visited your web page today for the first time and felt compelled to write and let you know how grateful I am for what you offer. I have rarely encountered fathers that are very involved with their disabled child nor do I know other men facing the challenges I do with my son. To find there is an organization that supports dads is very exciting. Thank you!"

Thanks for joining us; we hope this site is useful and fun. We are continually upgrading the page to make it more user-friendly and helpful for all family members and providers who are involved with children with special needs.

You are incredibly important in helping us reach fathers and providing them with the kinds of support and resources that really make a difference in their lives. For sixteen years we have distributed newsletters, videos, monographs, and packets of information, most at no expense.

WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE!

Here are specific places you can help the Fathers Network flourish and grow. Please take a few minutes to help us out:

  • Send us names of fathers and families who would benefit from this program and add value to what we offer.
  • Spread the word about this website. Let other men and their families know about us, particularly men in rural areas who don’t receive the supports that fathers in larger cities do.
  • Send us your articles. Nothing supports the needs of men better than these stories. You need not be a great writer. Just speak from the heart and say what is important to you. Articles may be in any form (essay, poem, letter, etc.) and should be no more than 1,500 words. They should be sent via e-mail attachment, in Word format. A photo of you and your child with special needs would also be helpful so it may accompany the article.

YOUR DONATIONS ARE WELCOME!

The Fathers Network is the only regional program in the United States fully devoted to fathers of children with special health care needs and/or developmental disabilities. Since 1986 we have sent over 75,000 packets of information at no cost. This website is visited by more than one million visitors a year. Our funding continues to be stretched to the limit, so please consider making a donation. We are a 501©3 non-profit organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible. Simply stated, we can’t publish or maintain this website without you. For all those who have already donated, a heartfelt THANK YOU!
